Today we just finished doing orienteering, I went by myself and my time 11:55. By I caught up with Pote and we came a tie, I had really fun with Loen. He gave good instructions what was on the map and next time I will try to bet that time and I will also try to bet pote as well.

How Smoking Affects People

Hi everybody this is my speech about how smoking affects people. This speech might help you and helping others not to smoke. So think to yourself when i'm saying my speech why you should not smoke. So don’t smoke when you are under age because you might just get cancer. Smoking can affect not just you but other people. Smoking can affect other because the ashes can fly around and other people can breath in.

Smoking can make you lose your lungs that can lead to cancer and smoking can also make you lose eyesight. The ash would go in your eye when smoking and is very bad for your health. Don’t even try it because it might be a habit for you. Lung cancer is one of the most deaths of people in American. The tobacco in the smoke harms every organ in your body and also is poisonous and toxic in a human body.

For New Zealand tobacco causes 4300 to 4600 deaths per year and can cause heart attacks as well. Tobacco as about 4000 chemicals in it and 43 known cancer causes. It has Rat poison in the cigarette, poisonous gas from a car exhaust and is used for keeping bees in. Every day in the U.S 4000 teens smoke and smoking right near a apple computer warns them. John Adams, 2nd president of the USA, started smoking at the age of eight.

Smoking can also affect your eyes and you could go blind and your blood pressure could go higher. Each day more than 3.200 smoke and if you are smoking don’t smoke near kids or older people. Smoking can also cost a lot of money because if you got a big family it won’t help.

This is how we judged who was going to speak in front of our class and in my group a had Sak'ae, Micaiah and Eric. The winner in our group was Micaiah and Eric, once everybody that had made it into the speech for a class we would choose two people to do the hall finals. We also had to do a Rubric about the Expression and loud clear voice and the others ones, I got 1 2 1 2.

Orienteering

Today we did orienteering  we and Zahn were partners and we did a lot of fitness, me and my partners had really fun and would like to do it again. I hope we have inter school and the weather wasn't to great but Thomas team come 1st.

Japan DLO

This is my Japan DLO it's about the flag that they have and their there landmarks that they have there very famous landmarks. My favorite one is the food DLO because we compare it with my culture food that I eat.

Current Events

This is my Current Events DLO, its about a girl founding a mammoth bone the part of the body she found was the leg. This Event took place in Italian and the girls name was Emma Persico, she was seven years old as well.

Probably the most widely known theory, the asteroid impact theory maintains that a meteorite roughly the size of the Isle of Wight crashed into the Earth’s surface, 65 million years ago. Combined with the debris that was, according to Dr Joanna Morgan, “ejected at high velocity into the atmosphere” the planet was plunged into darkness, causing a global winter that killed off many of the living species on Earth.	The super volcano theory argues that the asteroid impact was merely a prelude to a number of volcanic eruptions that occurred in an area in India named the Deccan Traps. Researchers have discovered four separate waves of eruptions that released huge clouds of sulfur dioxide into the air, bringing showers of acid rain in turn. These waves are estimated to have occurred between 67.5 and 65 million years ago.`	A team from Holland and Italy discovered fossilised cold water plankton that dates back 65 million years in an area that had previously been warm see in Tunisia. Dinoflagellates and Benthic Foraminifera plankton were found in the first time-dated fossils that provide clear evidence of climate swings. Matthew Huber of Indiana’s Purdue University said: “The fossils indicate that something suddenly made the water cold enough to support these tiny critters.”

Comments

The volcano because when the volcano erupts they don’t have enough time to escape. The strong smoky air that they breathe in. Or when they have showers of acid it easy for the acid to target them directly.

I think that the volcanos might've have killed the dinosaurs because it’s the dinosaurs could have been hanging around the mountains. Also having the lava killing them.

This my DLO about what killed the dinosaurs some people thought that Meteorite, Volcanoes and Ice age. Me and Eric's thought that the meteorite killed, it has some information about each one.

China DLO

This my China DLO its about what they eat and how to speak there language. Its mostly about what China looks like and if you didn't know Auckland to Beijing is 10418.62 km, Beijing is one of the most popular in China.

Do UFOs/Aliens Exist? Report

Introduction

UFOs are real because there been sites of weather balloons that have been Found everywhere. Everybody is allowed to be there if you are not a part of it they have been hiding staff that nobody knows. There have been Pictures and videos of UFOs and no Pictures of Aliens.

UFO Sightings

There have been loads of UFO sightings but Roswell crash is one of the best evidence of UFO. They didn’t find any Aliens and only found parts of the UFO. There have been rock statues of something nobody knows where the rock statues come from but they think that aliens made it. They also found a weather balloon when the crashed happened and the crash was in New Mexico.

Area 51

Area 51 is a Military base they secret staff about aliens and say if you go pass the line a sniper will shoot you. They probably have pieces of  UFOs and have aliens because where Area 51 Military base there have been some sightings there. They have down test on animals and other living things that exist.

Proof

People think that this picture shows one of the hardest metal in the world and they think that this piece is from a alien ship or one of our space. They didn’t grab it because they didn’t know what it 

would do.

This is my DLO about if UFOs exist its, it has all the information about where sightings where of the UFOs. My last paragraph is about where this metal come from they think that it is one of the hardest metal in the world. They don't know where this metal come from and think that the metal come from a UFO.
