Netbook Reflection 2013

How has having a netbook connected to the internet helped my learning this year?

This year having a Chromebook has helped me learn how to do my reading writing spelling and my maths. Like sumdog xtramaths and studyladder.Some of my friends have helped me to make a copy and move it to my folder and how to make a doc and to do my Topic. My teacher taught us how to bookmark and how to go on blogger, popplet, classdojo. A friend showed me how to use gmail, camera and how to use Fotor drawing.I have helped Sarurja how to go on her blogger and photo essays. My mum always gives me games to play on my netbook.

This is my netbook Reflection and it is all about who helps me do staff and my teacher helps me go on to gmail and some more staff.

Rugby union

On Wednesday some boys and girls from school went to the inter schools. I liked it when we played our rugby games. We played rugby union and we win about 3 games and we lost 2 games. All of the boys were good and I injured some one and I got no try.

This is my reflection basicfacts

This is my  basic facts reflection and I take my Chrome book home and go to a website. I like to play it and it is coolmathgames it was a cool game and I am still not improving. I have to still practice and still have to improve my xtramath.

Narrative

At the movies

I was really excited to go to movie at hoyts cinema with my cousin. The name of the movie was Percy Jackson The Sea Monster. It didn’t take us much time to reach the cinema at Sylvia Park. Me and my cousin relaxed back on the seat with yummy ice cream and popcorn. Suddenly I could feel something…..To my amazement my seat started shaking.

I saw Gozan seating on the seat watching the movie and I was eating my ice cream it was yummy. When I was in the movies there was an earthquake and everyone was scared at the movies. Poor me….my popcorn fell on the floor and it was scattered all over. But then everything was normal and we watched the rest of the movie happily.

When we watched our movies in 3D, one of my cousins did a loud fart everyone was laughing  at my cousin and my cousin had lollies in his bag and he did not tell us that he had lollies in his bag.  My heart was still beating faster because the earthquake tremors scared me alot.

Me and my cousin had a good time despite the earthquake tremors. We had a nice and big lunch at Mcdonalds. Then I went home.

I really like my narrative because I have an interesting introduction and a good hook.

Tamaki river

I live in the Tamaki area. The Tamaki area goes from Mt Wellington to Point England  to Panmure.

Term 3 reflection

Term 3 reflection

  This term I enjoyed cross country and my blogger and our landforms and my fractions and my basic facts.

My favorite sport this term was inter school rugby union and soccer and swimming and winter sports.

Something new I learned this term was learning some new dance moves from my production.

I am really proud of coming 2nd in cross country and making it in the inter school rugby union

Next term I need to be faster doing my landforms and being faster to do my blogging.

Types of rocks

This is my 3 types of rocks I choose Metamorphic rock and Igneous rock and sedimentary rock and the igneous rock looks like glass.

Water worries

Today Tai and Riley read water worries we learnt that dinosaur drink our water and that the sun drivers the water cycle. Me and riley thought that the book was a great.

This is my water cycle and I learnt that water goes up into the sky. 

This called Evaporation.

A Day At The museum

A Day At The Museum

I went to the museum. Me and my friends came too. My dad drove us  into town. Then we saw Mrs Smith walking inside. Then I ran to her to say hi but we lost her and then we went inside and ran up the stairs to look for Mrs Smith but she was gone.

We went to see the fake sharks and we went  by the fake sharks. There was some real shark skin and you could feel it and then all of us got lost. I ran back down stairs. Then I saw my brother and  I found all of my friends.

I went into the old houses and we all had a race going up stairs and I won. We had to go because my dad gave me his phone to tell us when to go and we went. Then we went to drop of my friends.

I went to my friends house to have a drink. Me and my dad went to go home and I was playing call of duty black ops and we had McDonald's and it taste like fish and then I went to bed and it was a good day and I went to sleep.

Here is my recount. This is about my holiday and at the museum and me and friends and brother went to the museum and it was fun and friends liked it to. 

Swimming

On Tuesdays and Thursdays we go for a swim and I am in group 1.  I am doing breathing position and backstroke. It was hot and it was fun. We go at 11:30am.

My popplet

Today we went on popplet. We had to write about land forms and I had good fun. We had to found a picture or a video but I chose a picture. Here is my popplet brainstorm about land forms. I learnt that volcanoes are opening in the Earth surface .

I work out the area

Today we did maths and I work out the area using my time tables and I did 1 x 1 = 2 

Punakaiki rocks

This is my understanding of what Punakaiki rocks look like.

My math activitie

Today for maths we played a math game called maths add. I got 100% I completed 20 answers in 60 seconds and I did addition.

Duffy show

 

On Tuesday we went to watch the Duffy show it was fun and funny because there was a funny guy and his name was Word sharks and it was about Duffy losing is words

Today for spelling we played a game called look cover write check and you have to write a world in the box and you push start then you have one look at the world then you  spell the world and I got all of them right. 

Howick Historic village

On Thursday we went to Howick Historical Village. It was fun and the best toy was the little people climbing up the rope and we had to write with old pencils, it was easy. There were lots of old toys,  some toys were easy to use and some were hard. When we went to write the teacher had a stick. I learnt a lot about olden day schooling from my visit to the village. 

My speech reflection

My speech topic was rugby should be allowed at PBS.

My voice was a loud clear voice.

I stood relaxed.

The hardest part of speeches was to tell the full paragraph.

I am proud that I stood still.

 This is my Technology in Education timeline. I know now that the over head projector was made in 1930. I had fun making the timeline

My spelling

Today we did spelling on our net book we did a spelling game when you have to put the connective words in the sentence. Connective words link our sentences. I got 50 points and you had to kick the ball in to the goal.    

Des Hunt visit

Des hunt came to visit us today. He used chemistry and physics to teach us about writing. He shared us some of the things he done when he was our age. I learnt that  chemistry was fun after all.

Today we learned that we have to stay safe on our netbooks and never go on rude things and just stay on maths games and go on other classes blogs.

This week I practiced these 3 facts. 3+4= 7   7+6= 13  5+9= 14  Here is my xtamath result. I got a green square for 3 + 4 but I still need to learn 7 + 6 and 5 + 9.   When I  going back home I am going to do my xtamath all day.
